Dilma Rousseff
Brazil’s maritime oil potential is reckoned to be massive, with some estimates running as high as 50 billion barrels. This is more than four times as much as all the other discovered oil reserves in the country.
Despite the difficulty and expense of extracting this new oil from the continental shelf, President Dilma Rousseff and her government are confident that it represents a huge potential bonanza for Brazil’s economy.
President ‘Dilma’ has publicly called for this oil wealth to be largely directed to developing and extending the nation’s schools and education systems. She and her administration believe ( with many others) that educational improvement is a vital key to the Country’s whole future.
She’s urging Congress to approve the necessary legislation by the 12th May deadline.
